Also known as Spiritual Communion, My Jesus, I believe that thou art present
For anyone who cannot receive Communion — through illness, distance, or because they are not able to receive at present. St. Alphonsus Liguori’s words, and the ones most used.
My Jesus, I believe that thou art present in the most holy Sacrament.
I love thee above all things,
and I desire to receive thee into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive thee sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace thee as if thou wert already there
and unite myself wholly to thee.
Never permit me to be separated from thee.
Amen.

A fourteenth-century prayer said after Communion, and the prayer St. Ignatius placed at the front of the Spiritual Exercises. Short enough to have by heart within a week.
For a person who is ill themselves. It asks for healing plainly, and then asks for something harder in case healing is not what comes.
